Practice Archive explores the relationship between objects, ritual, memory and time. Beginning with the objects that accompany everyday life, the practice considers how the objects we live with can shape atmosphere, encourage ritual and bring a greater sense of presence to the spaces around them.

Drawing from architecture, interiors, and domestic life, each collection begins with inquiry. Familiar forms and archetypes are studied, reduced and reworked through material and proportion to create objects that feel both known and distinct. Expressive yet grounded in use, the pieces are designed to gather meaning over time.

Practice Archive works with enduring materials and considered processes, allowing evidence of making to remain part of the finished object. Rather than objects conceived for a moment or season, the practice seeks to create pieces with permanence: objects to live alongside, to use repeatedly and to become part of one's personal archive.

Founded by Australian designer Erin Bird, Practice Archive extends from a background in interior design across residential and hospitality projects. Her work is shaped by a longstanding interest in architecture, materiality and the emotional life of spaces. Moving between objects, interiors and a broader creative inquiry, her practice is grounded in use, ritual and an attentiveness to how objects are lived with over time.
